'Site Interrupted' at Sauerbier House, Port Noarlunga in South Australia, was a solo show presenting the culmination of work from a studio residency at Sauerbier House.
By conceiving of architectural structures and language as fluid and embodied, Taal promotes constant change or flux as inherent in the experience of site and self. Infusing Sauerbier House with remnants of itself and other to interrupt narrative and offer up a poetic renewal of site as a reflection upon impermanence. Inneke considers the very basis of 'heritage' as a way of navigating these concepts materially throughout the sites of Sauerbier House.
